Swami Ramakrishnananda
Swami Ramakrishnananda was born as Shashi Bhushan Chakravarty on 13 July 1863. Shashi’s father Ishwara Chandra Chakravarty was an expert in ritualistic worship, and Shashi imbibed from him love for ritualistic worship. After passing out of the village school, he went to Kolkata and lived with his cousin Sharat (later, Swami Saradananda) for higher education. A brilliant student, he chose mathematics for the B.A. course which, however, he could not complete owing to the terminal illness of Sri Ramakrishna at Cossipore.
Message of Swami Ramakrishnananda
- If evil thoughts appear, be indifferent to them. They come due to the impressions of previous lives and it is good that they rise to the conscious plane; it will be easier for you to control them.
- Results of actions done in this life are partly experienced here and partly in the next as fate.
- True education consists in the sacrifice of vanity and the manifestation of the God within.
